Is there a nickname for the highway system that parallels the Northeast Corridor (rail from Boston to Washington)? Or can that be called the Northeast Corridor too?

I just want to know for, um, aesthetic reasons... nothing piratical, nothing piratical at all....

Mostly, those of us who drive it just tend to call it 95.

yeah, that is what came to my mind as well. Runs all the way from main to florida. Route 1 and 1a also run parrallel to 95 for the entire length. 95 being the major highway, route 1 being a highway that is usually 10mph lower, and 1A going through the centers of most towns it passes through. However in certain places, such as between 128 and boston on 95 north route 1 and 95 are the same exact road.

Unfortuneately, "Land Pirates of I-95" doesn't have quite the same ring that "Land Pirates of The Northeast Corridor" has.
